The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is calling for metal detectors to be used in schools every day after a gun was found on campus this week. But district officials say that will require more funding and manpower than they currently have. 

Today marks the one-year anniversary of John Neville's death. He passed away at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center following his transfer from the Forsyth County jail where he had been held.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is responding to allegations that an officer used excessive force against a black man during an incident over the weekend. 

In the span of 24 days in May of 2017, two men died in Forsyth County's jail. Both succumbed after being denied medication that they desperately needed by the jail's private contractor.
