FBI Finds No Motive In Las Vegas Shooting, Closes Investigation

"Throughout his life, [Stephen] Paddock went to great lengths to keep his thoughts private, and that extended to his final thinking about this mass murder," officials said on Tuesday.

Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo announced the end of the department's investigation of the October 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas on Friday. Lombardo told reporters that officials could not determine a "definitive motive" that prompted the massacre.
