The president told reporters, "Let people see" special counsel Robert Mueller's report, as Trump again denied any collusion with Russia prior to his election in 2016.
While it was a largely symbolic vote, it represents growing bipartisan pressure on the Justice Department to disclose as much as possible about the Mueller investigation.
William Barr, nominated by President Trump to become attorney general, will face the Senate Jan. 15 and 16. If confirmed, Barr will replace acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker.
