Palmyra Arch Of Triumph Replica Unveiled In London's Trafalgar Square

A replica of the Palmyra Arch of Triumph, a Syrian monument that was destroyed by the Islamic State, was erected in London's Trafalgar Square Tuesday. It's cut from marble and has been reconstructed using digital scanning techniques.

When Britain's Natural Environment Research Council launched a poll to help name a new research ship, one suggestion caught on: Boaty McBoatface. But Science Minister Jo Johnson says it's unsuitable.

A replica of Palmyra's 2,000-year-old Arch of Triumph is constructed in London's Trafalgar Square on Monday. The arch, a replica of a monument demolished by ISIS, was made using 3-D imaging produced from photographs.

The leaders of the Catholic and Orthodox churches called on Europe to show greater compassion for migrants, a move widely welcomed by migrants as well as residents on the Greek island of Lesbos.

A British Airways pilot told authorities that he believes his jet struck a drone as it approached for landing at Heathrow Airport on Sunday. The police are investigating.
