Bitter cold is gripping North Carolina after a weekend snowstorm that killed at least one person.
A winter storm blanketed parts of North Carolina with snow early Saturday as its slow march across the Southeast left grocery store shelves empty and roads icy and impassible.
With snowfall on the minds of residents across the state, one may be reminded of that old adage - “No two snowflakes are alike.”
Well, turns out, that's not exactly true.
The snow has started to fall across the Triad and much of North Carolina, and it's bringing cold temperatures and potentially hazardous road conditions with it.
