During an annual baptism ceremony in the Sistine Chapel Sunday, Pope Francis once again encouraged mothers to breastfeed if their infants were hungry, saying this was a "language of love."

The phrase "lead us not into temptation" isn't right, the pontiff says, because "a father does not do this." France's Catholic Church has changed the phrase in its version of the Lord's Prayer.

"Pope Francis was visibly moved as he met the refugees who fled a military crackdown in Myanmar to neighboring Bangladesh," NPR's Sylvia Poggioli reports from Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Francis, on a visit to the Southeast Asian country, was advised against talking specifically about the persecuted Muslim minority for fear of causing a backlash against Myanmar's Christians.

Francis, on a visit to Yangon before traveling to Bangladesh later this week, hasn't said whether he will address the crisis described by the United Nations as "a textbook case of ethnic cleansing."

"It pains me greatly, when I celebrate Mass here in the square or in the basilica, to see so many cellphones raised," said the pontiff. He noted that priests and bishops do it, too.

When President Trump visited the Vatican in May, Spicer was left off a list of White House officials who had a chance to meet the pope. Spicer resigned as press secretary on July 21.

The new category recognizes those who sacrifice their lives for others. The pope announced the pathway on Tuesday, and it is seen as one of the biggest changes to the process in centuries.

Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Mueller was ousted as the head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith on Saturday. Days earlier another top official left to face charges of sexual abuse.
